But for the most part, it feels like improvements were minimal, and here I am trying to get Bidule to help support DP so that I can avoid crashes. Admittedly, I can now load numerous PLAY instruments at once, where loading 2-3 would be the limit on my G5. When I upgraded my computer from a G5 to a MacPro (about one year ago), I was quite disappointed to discover that the improvements in DP's handling of additional VIs and management of CPU seemed very minimal. MIDI Life Crisis wrote:PB is essentially a band-aid for me until I get a new machine. Will also include an essential drum kit or two. I'm actually thinking of limiting it to my favorite brass and strings, at this point, since those are instruments that I would like to have available in each project without thinking about which ones I need to load and where I can find them. Bidule is having problems with SampleTank, and I was really hoping load a bunch of SampleTank instances into it so that Bidule would act like just like an external module stocked with all my favorite sounds.īut alas, it seems like I will have to limit it to my favorite-favorite-favorite sounds. I'm also still testing the limits of Bidule and trying to figure out what I can get away with. I don't think you can load more into Bidule than you could load into DP, but if you use it to load 2-3 GB of your most important bread and butter instruments that you want access to, then at least you have more room to work with in DP. How I can do for solved this having Maschine as VST intoMIDI Life Crisis wrote:I still have to do a little research on the CPU impact even with PB but I know for sure it is far better than trying to make DP chew on multiple VIs. Just set "on" the midi of faders c1 c2 c3.and assign the correct cc's you can rename themħ - When I push RESTART or PLAY buttom on Maschine In the setting you have two section : input & output. Now you have to assign the correct cc's in remote16Įx : cc 33 to c1 fader. This is normal : you have just to connect the remote16 midi output to the input mlan module ! It just lacks in your scheme. Some Macro also move fader on Remote16 but not send Macros with Remote16 (This works well, when I move WHEN is the good question :Sĥ - I open Remote16 into Bidule and I assign CCs and link IMPORTANT : NI seems to be aware about more midi features for the next updates I use many bluecat remote16 instead of remote32&64 cause they are buggy for me. I will try the "bidule vst" with my midi device too.īidule early bird liscence 75 e bluecat remote 39 e Repeat that step for each knobs you want.up to 64 maschine macros To assign the remote16 parameters to maschine knobs you go to "parameter" in biduleĪnd link maschine macros to remote16 parameter You can run maschine vst only with this transport module but it's just for try the cc sends to your midi device. I forgot : you must add (in the bidule stand alone set up) a transport module (misc/transport)to run maschine vst inside and sync the maschine vst to this transport module exactly like the rewire module in the vid. So difference is :the midi input bidule module doesn't need to be connected to your midi output module. In fact reproduce the vid scheme but with machine in it.Then open a remote16 and assign cc's you want inside this plugin (setting button in remote16). The audio output (like the rewire device in my vid).the maschine midi output must be connected to the midi output module you've added. Registered users can use bidule vst versions. Hope this is clear.i'm not good in english too.īidule is open as a vsti in maschine standalone.Īs you can see on the vid the maschine knob controls ableton fader 1 i don't use directly remote16 Now you can control your virus cutoff filter with your maschine knob and It's here you link bidule plugin parameters to remote16 parameters. Now you have a window with sources and targets Go at the top of bidule GUI and and push parameters Now to have maschine knobs that trigg remote16 sliders In remote16 push the setting button and assign cc's you want The basic GUI panel) and connect the midi of this module to the hardware midi device Then again in bidule open a remote16 (note: remote16 have 8 cc's to send not 16 with Important : disable in maschine the midi hardware output you want to use in bidule Now maschine can send notes to your device ! The difference with video configuration is you use a real midi device not loopbe. All windows in the vid are bidule windows except abletonĬonnect the bidule midi input module to a midi device you add (right click on the whole gui in bidule and select midi device/output).
